Hey there! I'm Kali, a digital illustrator living in the beautiful city of Porto with my husband, two kids, and our sweet dog. My art is heavily inspired by nature, magic, light, and love. From the shimmering sunlight filtering through forest canopies to the ethereal glow of moonlit landscapes, I find inspiration in the beauty and wonder of the natural world. Growing up, I was captivated by stories of mythical creatures, enchanted forests, and hidden realms, and these fantastical worlds continue to fuel my imagination today.

I've always been surrounded by creativity, thanks to my amazing mom. As a kid, I was the one always diving into DIY projects, crafting costumes, and making videos just for fun. But despite my passion, self-doubt often crept in, and I used to doubt my own creativity. I told myself I wasn't good enough and that pursuing a career in the arts was just a pipe dream.

As I grew up, I kept telling myself all these false narratives based in fear and societal expectations. These mindsets held me back from fully embracing my creative path—the path I knew in my soul was true to me. However, motherhood became a turning point for me, sparking a newfound determination to reclaim my life and thoughts.

With a big leap of faith and the support of my amazing husband, I made the decision to leave my engineering job and embark on a journey of self-discovery. Amidst the chaos of motherhood, I carved out precious moments to explore new skills and techniques, eventually stumbling upon the enchanting world of digital art.

Digital art gave me a way to bring to life magical realms and fantastical places. In today's world, where darkness and negativity seem to surround us, I've come to appreciate the profound impact of art and storytelling. As both an artist and a mother, I've witnessed firsthand the transformative power of spreading light and magic through creativity.

While we may not be able to erase all darkness from the world, I believe that through our creative endeavors, we can infuse more goodness, joy, love, and light into the lives of others.
